Segundo Sugasti

Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez could never have invented a more novelistic character. Segundo is the epitome of the Darien frontier’s man. As a trained biologist, he began his professional career at ANCON, the National Association for the Conservation of Nature. Later on he transferred to Ancon Expeditions and managed two Darien field stations, receiving nature enthusiasts and researchers. But he has a preference for long jungle expeditions. In the years he’s served in the Darien, Segundo has received and organized trips for politicians, diplomats, film crews from Nat Geo and Discovery Channel, and celebrities of the like of Jeff Corwin and the late Anthony Bourdain. His people skills, natural charm, and resourcefulness make him invaluable when negotiating our passage through the Darien.
